Canon EF 24-105 mm f/4 L IS USM I Lens is a versatile workhorse that covers more bases than any other lens. When the lens was first released we were not in the realms of usable high-iso ranges and the lens never saw much love. Also, kit lenses are forever prejudiced against.  The focal range is long, from what is considered to be wide-able to telephoto with a constant aperture of ƒ/4 throughout the zoom.

The 24-105 mm L has inbuilt image stabilising making it effective in low-light and also as a video lens.  The focus is smooth with a long travel and can product great results in video. The bonus close-focus range adds even more utility both in the studio and for portraits and detail close-ups.
