aquatech housing description

Our Aquatech Elite 5D MkIII Housing hire kits have been designed for optimised use with Canon’s 16-35mm lenses.  Wide angles, such as Canon 16-35mm L II, are generally the most popular underwater due to the ~30% magnification that occurs underwater – making it roughly ~22-47mm.

To incorporate full functionality our housing hire include the PD-70 lens port, PD-85 Dome and CZ zoom gear.  The CZ zoom gear wraps around the lens zoom ring, which you operate via an external knob with your left hand.

More Info on the Aquatech Housings

Surf housings are designed to deal with impact and rapid pressure change because they’re getting washed around the ocean. They differ from dive housings in that they’re buoyant and designed for use in the first ten meters of the water-column.

Our Aquatech Elite Sport housings are rated to a maximum depth of 11m (33feet) for 5 minutes.  If you take the housing beyond these limits you will flood the housing and destroy what’s inside, we’ve seen it before and we’ll hopefully not see it ever again.  If you’re freediving, consider your depths and if you’re diving with a computer it’s best to set a depth alarm to 10m.  We tested one on scuba without a camera inside and we noted minor water penetration

**Our Aquatech Housing Hire price does not include camera or lens.
